The Dharma Hub is located in central Calgary. We are an urban meditation community dedicated to developing a sincere and grounded mindfulness practice that encompasses all facets of life. We offer a path that is both dynamic and contemplative, drawing from classical buddhadharma, therapeutic tools and body awareness work. You could say we explore an ‘out of the box’ modern approach to liberation that is 75% ‘Buddhism’ and 25% ‘whatever works’.
The strength of our practice stems from our root teachers Achariya Doug Duncan & Catherine Pawasarat who teach internationally and are based at Clear Sky Center, BC. Our Dharma Hub community teachers are senior students of Doug and Catherine who have trained with them for many years, and are now sharing their learning with you in Calgary.
We warmly invite you to join us at one of our Thursday evening Dharma Classes, held weekly at 7pm in Inglewood (at the Institute for Human Potential 1231, 9 Ave SE). We also host guest teachers, one day retreats in the city, and longer retreats in the Rocky Mountains at Clear Sky meditation center. Our day to day practice includes meditation and a significant emphasis on ‘karma yoga’ – selfless service, or meditation in ‘action,’ as a path of liberation.
