About the Orientations

Even if you have experience already, we’d like to meet you and make sure we’re on the same page before inviting you to join our regular community sits. Because these online sessions are live sacred spaces, it is important to set up this shared space with intentionality for the benefit of all.

At the orientation session we’ll:

  • Suggest 3 ways to set up your practice for success
  • Offer ways to sit and support your posture
  • Give a guided breathing meditation
  • Give a guided visualization

After attending an orientation, you’ll have the chance to register for streamed group sits each month.

The orientations sessions are open to all.

Regular Meditation Sessions Each Month

After you’ve been through the orientation, you can sign up at any time to join our regular sessions. Join when you can to support your practice, we don’t expect you to join every time.

This will be done by monthly subscription, so you may renew your personal commitment and intention each month.

Who is Meditation Groundwork for?

Anyone who:

  • wishes to start a meditation practice and doesn’t know where to start
  • values meditation and wants to make it happen in his/her life
  • has meditated, and needs support in order to make it part of a regular healthy lifestyle.

Why?

Part of you knows that dedicating time to stop and breathe mindfully is important. It’s hard to make it happen alone! We know that from experience! Whatever good intentions, the reality is that all is set up for you to be drawn back into habits and busyness. It takes a good amount of effort to disroot this habit of thinking about everything, everywhere, all the time! It is just what we know. What we are used to.

You may have recognized that this approach to life is not fulfilling. That somewhat, whatever you do, you always fall back into some sort of anxiety, dissatisfaction or pain.

Ultimately, you know that true peace is found inwards. All you need is dedicated time and effort to train yourself into being present with this moment, just as it is, without needing to do much about it.

This group practice will help you develop the muscle of concentrating the mind on something truly wonderful and anchoring, your very own breath.
